The Workplace Relations Commission has ordered Colbert And Co to pay Martha O'Mahony €7,500 after finding that the letting agent discriminated against her on the housing assistance ground by failing or refusing to complete her Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) forms. The decision was dated 24 November 2025.
O'Mahony said she applied for HAP in March 2021 and followed up repeatedly, including through emails from Threshold. Colbert And Co said it could not sign the forms as agent because that was the landlord's responsibility, and denied discrimination and liability. The adjudicator found the agent provided a service and that its explanation did not rebut the discrimination case.
