The Workplace Relations Commission found An Post did not contravene the Minimum Notice & Terms of Employment Act in its case with Liz Kennedy. The decision was dated 25 February 2022. Kennedy said she received only three hours’ notice when her employment ended and was placed on two weeks of annual leave without agreement. The WRC found her final contract was for a fixed term ending on 15 May 2021, and that her employment ended when it expired. It also found her 15-hour working week put her outside the Act’s scope.
