WRC rejects Jerome Morel’s constructive dismissal complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission found Jerome Morel’s constructive dismissal complaint against Teleflex Medical Europe Ltd not well founded. The decision was dated 7 December 2023. Morel said excessive workload, inadequate staffing and poor working conditions left him no option but to resign. The company disputed his account and said it had offered support, resources and grievance procedures. The adjudication officer accepted that Morel was diligent and considered his workload onerous, but found he had not exhausted workplace procedures before resigning. The officer concluded that his resignation was premature and that the company had not breached his contract or acted so unreasonably as to justify it.
