The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Ms Derron Briggs €400 after finding she was constructively dismissed by William Hayes t/a International Assets Protection. The decision was dated 30 November 2021. Briggs said her hours were cut and she received no outcome to a bullying complaint before she resigned. Hayes said he had investigated the complaint and warned the manager, and that the hours changed under Briggs’s contract. The WRC found her hours were reduced while others were hired, and that she was not told the manager had been sanctioned. Hayes had not given her an opportunity to reconsider her resignation. Briggs found alternative work shortly after leaving.
