The Workplace Relations Commission awarded a worker €1,297.50 for annual leave, €1,157.25 for missing written terms, €750 for five unpaid public holidays, €975 for Sunday work and €648.75 in lieu of one week’s notice. Its decision was dated 29 November 2023. The worker’s public house employer was in liquidation, and its liquidator did not contest her evidence. The WRC found she had not received written employment terms within two months of starting work and that the complaint was within time. A separate annual-leave complaint was withdrawn.
