The Workplace Relations Commission awarded a worker €215.28 for annual leave, €1,005.29 for missing written terms, €780 for five unpaid public holidays, €702 for Sunday work and €502.64 in lieu of one week’s notice. Its decision was dated 29 November 2023. The worker’s public house employer was in liquidation, and its liquidator accepted her evidence. The WRC found that she had not received a written contract within two months of starting work and that the complaint was within time. All other complaints were withdrawn at the hearing.
