The Workplace Relations Commission found that Abdullah Agha Syed had not established a prima facie case of race discrimination against Taskforce Security Management Security Services Limited Taskforce Security Management. The decision was dated 27 October 2022.
Syed said Pakistani colleagues received better shifts and sites and that his dismissal was disproportionate. The company said it dismissed him after performance and clocking-in issues during probation. The adjudication officer found Syed had not provided evidence supporting less favourable treatment on the race ground.
The complaint of race discrimination failed. Syed withdrew three other complaints, including claims about working time and employment terms, and a separate Employment Equality Act complaint.
