The Workplace Relations Commission said a stockroom manager’s minimum-notice complaint failed for want of prosecution after he did not attend the hearing. The decision was dated 20 March 2017; the merits were not decided. The stockroom manager said he had not received a month’s pay in lieu of notice after the department store entered receivership. The respondent said it was the liquidator, not the employer, and that minimum notice had been paid from the insolvency fund. The officer also found the complaint was outside the time limit and described it as misconceived.
