The Workplace Relations Commission awarded a beautician €165.88 for accrued annual leave and also granted her public-holiday entitlement for 25 and 26 December 2015 and 1 January 2016. The decision was dated 9 September 2016. The adjudicator calculated 15 hours of annual leave at €11 an hour. The beautician had also claimed public-holiday pay for the three dates; the decision gave no monetary figure for that entitlement. The respondent did not attend the hearing but submitted payroll and holiday-pay documents. The complainant did not appear in person because she believed her husband could represent her, and the adjudicator proceeded on the written submissions from both sides.
