In 1995, the Labour Court rejected the National Bus and Rail Union’s appeal and upheld a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation for a £500 goodwill payment to a Dublin Bus worker. The decision was signed on 9 October 1995. The union said the worker lost earnings after moving to a cash-counting role and did not receive promised promotion and overtime. Dublin Bus said he knew the role paid £2 less a week and had no Sunday or public-holiday work.
