In 1993, the Labour Court upheld Rights Commissioner recommendations for unpaid wages owed to four workers at Fairford Ireland. The decision was dated 19 February 1993. The workers had appealed after the company failed to pay the arrears; the company did not attend the Labour Court hearing. The recommendations covered seven weeks at £175 a week for each of two workers, six weeks at £173 a week for another, and six weeks at £125 a week for the fourth. The Court considered the workers’ evidence and decided that the recommendations should stand.
