In 1991, the Labour Court upheld a Rights Commissioner’s £100 settlement recommendation on a worker’s appeal concerning her alleged unfair dismissal by Pass Right School Of Motoring Limited. The decision was dated 28 February 1991. The company said falling demand made its third car uneconomic to operate full-time and the worker had to be made redundant. She said she had not been offered available part-time work. The Court noted the company was prepared to implement the recommendation and that the payment was acceptable to the worker.
