Labour Court upholds Enterprise Ireland grade-review recommendation on worker’s appeal

The Labour Court affirmed a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation in a grade dispute between Enterprise Ireland and a worker represented by Unite. The recommendation called for the parties to record the worker’s role and responsibilities and review the grade. The worker appealed the recommendation, claiming to be carrying out higher-grade duties. The Court said the claim could not progress until its factual basis was properly tested, and set a deadline of no more than three months for the review. The decision was signed on 4 June 2013.
