The Labour Court upheld a recommendation that Noonan Services Group pay a worker €800 for outstanding annual leave in 2010 and 2011. The decision, signed on 29 August 2012, followed the worker’s appeal. The worker had raised concerns about pay, hours, public holidays, annual leave and duties outside his contract. Noonan Services Group acknowledged discrepancies in hours, salary and leave entitlements and said it was willing to resolve the outstanding issues. The Court also directed the company to meet with the worker, review its records and check that he had been paid for all hours worked and received his public holiday and Good Friday entitlements. It upheld a recommendation that the company ensure future compliance with his contract and applicable employment rules, with slight variation. The company had already given him a cheque for €800.
