The Labour Court upheld a recommendation that Enterprise Ireland pay a worker €5,000 net, and rejected his appeal for a salary adjustment. The decision was signed on 16 March 2010. The worker argued that changes to his car and petrol allowances reduced his salary and sought placement on a higher salary scale. Enterprise Ireland said Revenue had decided to tax the car allowance and that the worker’s pay did not justify regrading. The Court found no justification for a salary adjustment and agreed with the Rights Commissioner’s findings.
