The Labour Court disallowed a union appeal by three pharmacy porters at St Vincent's University Hospital and affirmed a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation against their regrading claim. The workers sought an evaluation of their posts against similar positions in other hospitals, saying their duties had changed. The Court said the nationally agreed evaluation process did not allow an alternative system. It noted the workers could have re-entered their posts for re-evaluation after a year but had not done so, and that the scheme had been suspended under the public-sector moratorium. The decision was signed on 9 June 2010.
