The Labour Court varied a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation on a worker’s additional leave after an appeal by the Northern Area Health Board. It rejected the union’s position that the entitlement should apply to the Director of Nursing’s post at Lusk Community Unit. The Court set out a phase-out of four additional days in 2004, three in 2005, two in 2006 and one in 2007. It did not recommend retrospective relief for 2002 and 2003. The decision was dated 8 July 2004.
