Permission for modifications to the 180-no. bedroom hotel development permitted under Cork City Council Ref. No. 25/43749. The proposed modifications comprise: (1) The omission of the permitted basement level, including the relocation of plant from the basement to ninth floor level and an extension to the external plant area at roof level; (2) The reconfiguration of the ground floor layout, including the relocation of the ESB substation, back of house facilities, bin store and escape corridor; (3) A reduction in the number of bedrooms from 180 to 171 to facilitate an additional service lift and linen store serving first to eight-floor levels, together with a gym at first floor level; (4) The reconfiguration the ninth-floor layout to accommodate a cold-water storage room and service lift overrun; and (5) Minor amendments to the permitted elevations associated with the proposed modifications.
