Community note
Around Dromahair
Dromahair's public activity runs through The Depot, the community park, the GAA, the schools, the library/community facility and the Bonet valley. Dromahair Development Association/Tidy Towns carries Dromahair Local Notes, a poster-free village campaign inside the 50k zone, regular clean-up calls and the Development Association Blotto. The Blotto is a practical parish habit: the 23 June 2026 draw took place in The Depot, the jackpot carried forward, the next draw was listed for 7 July, and the game also runs through local businesses and online entries. The wider Dromahair community group carries day-to-day notices: Catherine's Country Kitchen taking a short break at Harvey Meats until 2 July, event-service adverts for parties and school events, buy-and-sell activity and Killargue Community Centre offering a 120-seat room with kitchen access for gatherings. Dromahair Arts & Recreation Centre works with Drumlease NS, Ardvarney NS, St Joseph's NS Killenummery, Leckaun NS, St Patrick's GAA, Naomh Padraig LGFA, Dromahair FC, Dromahair Anglers and Dromahair Development / Tidy Towns. Its park facilities include a playground, outdoor gym equipment, full-size all-weather surface, 1km walkway, pavilion and meeting rooms, with Dromahair Lights Up and walkway-resurfacing notes adding the health and volunteer-care side. St Patrick's Dromahair GAA, founded in 1955, carries member-draw updates, a Nashville fundraiser with clubhouse music and barbecue, football-pitch development, Leitrim U20 and U17 player notes, Belhavel Gaels underage fixtures and late-June games around Drumshanbo, Kinlough and Carrigallen. Dromahair Library also appears in the county literary diary for The Forgotten Peterhead Men, while Leitrim County Council's Dromahair Flood Relief Scheme notice keeps the public-works file visible for Ardakip More, Killananima and Corcusconny.
