Dromahair Arts and Recreation Centre is planning to build two outdoor padel courts in the community park, complete with glass and mesh enclosures, artificial playing surfaces, and LED lighting up to 8 metres high. The courts will use the park's existing access and parking facilities.

Each court will measure 20m x 10m and will have glass and mesh perimeter fencing up to 4 metres high, artificial playing surfaces, LED floodlights on 6–8 metre columns, and access pathways. Accessibility audit for Carrick-on-Shannon town
Councillor Cormac Flynn requested a comprehensive accessibility audit in Carrick-on-Shannon with a view to extending to all towns in the municipal district.
