Around Drumshanbo
Drumshanbo's summer diary has Corry Strand Water Safety and An Tostal in the same week. Corry Strand's 2026 swim and safety week runs from Monday 29 June to Saturday 4 July, starting at 9am, with only Seal and Marlin classes at that location. Public local notices also pointed to Drumshanbo Fire Station Open Day on Saturday 20 June from 12.30pm to 3pm. An Tostal runs from 28 June to 4 July 2026 and is the Drumshanbo festival that has continued every year since 1953; recent notices include sponsor thanks for this year's festival. The Mayflower adds another strand to the town week. Mayflower Community Centre in Mahanagh describes itself as a community centre and sports hub with astroturf, running track, handball, volleyball and basketball courts. Drumshanbo Community Sports Hub is based there and lists a three-day Multi-Sport Summer Camp from Monday 29 June to Wednesday 1 July 2026, 10am to 1pm, for 7-12 year olds. The Mayflower also shared Leitrim School of Art Summer Camps 2026 for Ballinamore and Drumshanbo. Drumshanbo Tidy Towns recently thanked volunteers for watering, the small civic work that keeps the town ready for visitors. Drumshanbo Comhaltas carries the music line into Connacht Fleadh, including the Five Branches Concert on Thursday 2 July 2026 at Mohill Community College. Drumshanbo-ie - News & Events carries general town notices, with older public-art memory around the Tuatha De Danann Sculpture at the Riverside. The Drumshanbo diary includes Corry Strand, An Tostal, the Mayflower, Sports Hub, Tidy Towns, Comhaltas, Lough Allen Adventure, pubs, shops, water-safety classes, summer camps and Riverside sculpture memory.
