Alan Wall, Michael Tynan, Conor O’Connor and Barry Walsh were jailed for robbery at the Court of Appeal on 2 March 2020, receiving seven years, seven years and three months, eight years, and seven-and-a-half years respectively.

The men had pleaded guilty to robbing Cleaboy Post Office in Waterford and possessing a sawn-off shotgun.

The court imposed concurrent five-year sentences for the firearms offence in each case.

The original sentences were increased after the Director of Public Prosecutions argued they were unduly lenient.
