Stephen Sarsfield was sentenced to 10 years for possessing €4.1m of drugs for supply by the Court of Appeal on 15 October 2019.

The court quashed his seven-year sentence after finding it unduly lenient, following his guilty plea to possessing diamorphine and cannabis worth more than €13,000 with intent to supply.

The drugs were found during a Garda operation in Ballyfermot, Dublin, and the court said the scale of the activity justified a substantial sentence.
