Sinead Connolly salon lockout dispute adjourned at High Court

By Tadhg O'Sullivan

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Sinead Connolly’s High Court action over her salon’s lockout was adjourned on 10 May 2021, amid a dispute with landlord Peter McLaughlin over rent arrears.

The case concerns Unit 2 at Charlesland Shopping Centre in Greystones, where Connolly operated Sin E Hair and Beauty Salon. McLaughlin told the court he had peaceably re-entered the premises and was legally entitled to change the locks, while arrangements could be made for Connolly to collect business equipment.

Mr Justice Senan Allen adjourned the matter to later that week so Connolly could consider and respond, if she wished, to McLaughlin’s sworn statement.

This report covers an earlier stage of the case. Later developments are not reported here.
