Seven water charge protesters had judgment reserved in High Court contempt proceedings over alleged obstruction of water-meter installation after a hearing on 16 February 2015.
GMC Sierra Ltd alleged that the protesters breached a 20-metre exclusion order in Dublin’s Phibsborough and Stoneybatter areas in December. Company surveillance operatives gave evidence and video footage was shown, while the defence challenged how the protesters had been identified in the footage.
The court had not yet delivered its decision, and the proceedings could result in imprisonment or a fine if contempt were established.
