Sentencing of man who stabbed garda put back to November

By Donal Gilhooly

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Abdullah Khan, 24, has been remanded in custody until 2 November for sentencing after pleading guilty to eight charges, including two terrorist offences. His sentencing was put back because one of the judges who heard the evidence is unwell.

The charges relate to setting fire to the Black Forge Inn in Dublin and stabbing a garda during a separate attack in July 2025. Khan admitted that he supported ISIS and jihadism and said the attacks were a message to the Government and the pub’s owner over perceived insults to the Prophet Muhammad. His address cannot be published by court order.
