Roza Komorova pleaded not guilty to theft at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, in a report published on 18 March 2015. The paintings were allegedly taken from Louise Mansfield’s home on Brennanstown Road, Cabinteely, on 5 September 2011. The trial continued in legal argument before Judge Mary Ellen Ring and a jury. Mansfield denied telling Komorova to take the paintings and said Komorova moved them only under supervision. The paintings were valued at more than €28,000.
The court heard that Mansfield had been a commercially successful artist for more than a decade.
