Riad Bouchaker will be sentenced on November 16 after victims’ families gave impact statements at the Central Criminal Court on October 12. He was convicted earlier this year of attempting to murder three children and of five other offences arising from the Parnell Square attack.
The court heard statements from the mother of the most seriously injured child, childcare worker Leanne Flynn and other victims’ relatives. Defence counsel asked the judge to consider Bouchaker’s mental capacity at the time of the attack and since. Mr Justice Tony Hunt said he had a lot to consider before sentencing.
