By Donal Gilhooly

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Residents have lodged a High Court action over alleged damage to houses beside Dublin’s National Children’s Hospital site. The proceedings concern residents of O’Reilly Avenue, Ceannt Fort and Mount Brown and are against the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board and BAM Civil Limited.

The residents claim works carried out by the defendants damaged their homes. The matter was mentioned before Mr Justice Paul Gilligan on 20 July 2017, when he granted the residents’ lawyers permission to serve short notice of the proceedings on the defendants. He returned the matter to the following week.
