Natasha Gleeson was jailed for three years for assault causing harm at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, reported on 14 May 2015. She stabbed John Redmond in the stomach with a mini steak knife on Aston Quay, Dublin, on 19 July 2013. Redmond suffered a 5cm wound, with injuries to his bowel and colon. Gleeson had pleaded guilty, and Judge Martin Nolan said the victim could have died. The judge said her guilty plea and remorse reduced an appropriate four-to-five-year sentence.
