By Ruairí Dolan

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Michael Kinsella was sentenced to two years for witness intimidation at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 6 December 2016. The sentence followed his guilty plea to intimidating a witness in a criminal investigation in October 2011.

The court was told Kinsella sent a threatening text to a woman who had given statements to gardaí investigating Adil Essalhi’s murder. Judge Terence O’Sullivan described the offence as being at the moderate to lower end of the scale and ordered the sentence to run concurrently with Kinsella’s existing prison term.
