Mary Flannery settled her dispute over the operation of Foxfield Inns in the Commercial Court on 11 January 2022.
The company owns the Ashling Hotel in Dublin, the Imperial Hotel in Galway and other commercial and residential properties.
Flannery had claimed that family members and the company’s accountant acted oppressively and infringed her rights concerning the company’s running; the respondents denied or rejected those claims.
Following mediation, the parties agreed that the court could order Foxfield Inns to purchase Flannery’s and Andrena Moynihan’s shareholdings; the overall settlement terms remained confidential.
The judge welcomed the settlement and adjourned the matter for mention to a date in April.
