James Buckley remains subject to an arrest and committal order after failing to attend the High Court in person over an order to leave Emerald Equestrian Centre, The Irish Field reported on July 31, 2026. The court said the order would be enforced if he is found in the Republic of Ireland; he can purge his contempt by attending in person, complying with the order to vacate and giving a sworn undertaking to obey the court’s orders.
The dispute followed earlier High Court proceedings in which Caroline Teltsch obtained orders for the Buckleys to leave the property. The court had found James and Paula Buckley unjustly enriched themselves with Teltsch’s money and ordered them to pay her more than €830,000 in damages. The report says Paula Buckley and a tenant have since agreed to vacate in October.
