This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Mark Nolan appeared before the High Court on 6 July 2021, wanted in the UK on terrorism and child pornography charges. The allegations include eight terrorism charges and four child pornography charges, said to relate to 250,000 images on a laptop.

The charges include possessing and making indecent images of children, alongside offences under the UK Terrorism Act 2000. The warrant says searches of Nolan’s London home led to the seizure of a laptop and discovery of the images and materials related to Nazism.

Nolan was arrested by gardaí in Dublin on 16 June 2021, the same day Westminster Magistrates Court issued the warrant. His barrister, Elva Duffy BL, sought further detail about the charges. She said the terrorism charges lacked particulars and any description of intent on his behalf. She also said a bail application had not been completed.

Mr Justice Paul Burns adjourned the extradition matter to 20 July 2021 for a possible bail application.
