Maireád Barry’s harassment case was struck out at the High Court on 29 October 2021, on consent, with liberty to re-enter.
The proceedings followed receiver Declan Taite’s allegations of threatening behaviour, including a threat to drive through his Dublin office window. Barry said she had no intention of doing so.
Taite’s counsel said the behaviour had ceased since the matter was last before the court in April. Barry said Taite’s conduct had severely prejudiced her and affected her health and family.
Taite was no longer seeking damages for harassment, and did not seek costs, counsel told the court. Barry said she would continue undertakings not to interfere with the receiver’s work.
