Keith Cremin’s debt arrangement refused by High Court

By Saoirse Doyle

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Keith Cremin’s personal insolvency arrangement was refused by the High Court in a judgment delivered on 5 February 2021.

Mr Justice Mark Sanfey found it inappropriate to confirm the proposed arrangement because Pepper Finance would face a substantial write-off on a performing loan without repayment default.

The judge also noted that Mr Cremin had other debts, but no evidence showed creditors were pressing him for payment.

The proposed arrangement would have converted an interest-only mortgage into an annuity mortgage while reducing the amount owed.
