Lucky Enogheghase jailed for human trafficking conspiracy

By Tadhg O'Sullivan

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Lucky Enogheghase was jailed for four and a half years for conspiracy to commit human trafficking at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court; the report was published on 5 March 2025.

The court heard he helped facilitate three women’s journeys from Nigeria to Ireland. They were later forced into prostitution by third parties, who had already been dealt with by the courts. His guilty plea was accepted on the basis of recklessness: he was not aware of what awaited the women in Ireland. Judge Martin Nolan backdated the sentence to his entry into custody in November 2022.
