Liam Sheridan was jailed for endangerment at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. He pleaded guilty to the charge. The proceedings were reported on 31 January 2020.

Judge Elma Sheahan imposed three years and nine months in prison, suspending the final nine months. The suspension required Sheridan to keep the peace and engage with the Probation Service after release. The incident occurred on Mountjoy Street on 31 August 2016, when Sheridan drove away in a stolen car after an elderly woman confronted those inside, knocking her down. She suffered two leg fractures and required continuing hospital care. Sheridan said he was sorry and did not intend anyone to be injured. His barrister, Marc Thompson BL, said he was in the throes of drug addiction, had taken drink and drugs, and was not thinking straight; he said Sheridan was dealing with his addiction.
