Liam Power was convicted of murdering Gints Intembergs, according to a Forensic Science Ireland report. Two forensic scientists gave evidence at his murder trial on 2 November 2016. He was accused of assaulting and killing Gints Intembergs in County Carlow in September 2014.

The report said FSI identified blood stains matching the deceased on Power’s runners. It said blood-pattern analysis found the stains could have been created by kicking, while footwear analysis found that marks on the body matched the pattern of the runners.
