Liam Mulvaney had a 10-day jail order stayed at the High Court on 12 February 2018. On 9 February, Ms Justice Caroline Costello had found him in contempt of orders preventing him from trespassing at or interfering with the receivership of 17 properties he owned.
The stay followed Mulvaney’s sworn undertaking to abide by the injunction, subject to an exception while further investigations were made into his claim that Avondale Lodge was his family home. The judge said Mulvaney and his family could remain at the property during that process.
The judge adjourned the case to a date later in February.
