Unnamed Kildare man’s aggravated sexual assault sentence increased

An unnamed 27-year-old Kildare resident was resentenced by the Court of Appeal for aggravated sexual assault.

After the State’s appeal, the court imposed five years and eight months’ imprisonment, with the final 20 months suspended; the offence occurred on 19 November 2020.

The case was recorded in May 2023.
