Kieran Greene was sentenced to mandatory life imprisonment for murdering Patricia O'Connor. The proceedings were reported on 22 June 2020.

Greene was convicted of murdering Ms O'Connor, who was killed in May 2017.

Her son Richard O'Connor told the sentencing hearing that the brutality of the murder, the dismemberment, its cover-up and finding out who was involved would stay with him for the rest of his life.

Gus O'Connor, Louise O'Connor, Stephanie O'Connor and Keith Johnston were also due to be sentenced. The report said they faced sentencing for impeding Greene's apprehension or prosecution, knowing or believing he had carried out the murder. Gus O'Connor's counsel also addressed his reporting of his wife as missing while knowing she was dead.
