John Fanning was fined €2,000 and disqualified from driving for three years for dangerous and drink driving at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, reported on 20 January 2023.

The offences occurred at C&T Supermarket in Skerries on 17 September 2019. The disqualification was deferred until 1 February to allow him to make arrangements for his elderly mother, on condition that he did not drink during that period.
