Jason ‘Jay’ O’Connor pleaded guilty to conspiracy to murder Charlie Cooper at the Special Criminal Court on 24 June 2024.

Cooper was shot multiple times at his home in Mulhuddart on 5 December 2016 and was seriously injured, but recovered after hospital treatment.

O’Connor also pleaded guilty to facilitating a criminal organisation in the commission of murder. The court adjourned the matter to 30 July.
