Innovation Enterprises Ltd was placed in provisional liquidation at the High Court on 28 January 2016.

Neil Hughes and Joseph Walsh of Hughes Blake were appointed joint provisional liquidators. The Carrigtwohill company employs more than 30 people and makes, sells and distributes chemical products, including pharmaceutical reagents.

The court heard the firm was insolvent, unable to pay debts as they fell due, and unable to secure further investment. It was also told staff jobs were uncertain and the company could not meet its January wage bill. The matter was due to return to court in February.
