The High Court was expected to give judgment on a French request to extradite Ian Bailey over alleged voluntary homicide. The request relates to the death of Sophie Tuscan du Plantier, who was found dead in Schull, west Cork, in December 1996.
On 14 June 2017, Mr Justice Tony Hunt said he would give judgment on 24 July 2017 on the issues discussed at hearings in May. He said remaining legal matters might require a further hearing.
Bailey denies involvement. The Supreme Court previously refused his surrender in 2012, while the State sought a European ruling on the relevant legal interpretation.
