Ian Bailey challenged extradition over murder at the High Court on 15 July 2020.
The request concerned the murder of filmmaker Sophie Toscan du Plantier in Schull, west Cork, in December 1996.
Bailey’s lawyers argued that a third surrender attempt was an abuse of process and that a 2012 Supreme Court judgment prevented his surrender.
He had been convicted in absentia in Paris in 2019 and sentenced to 25 years, but denies involvement and did not attend that trial.
The three-day extradition hearing was continuing before Mr Justice Paul Burns.
