Greg Walsh was jailed for 18 months for theft of more than €1.1 million at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, reported on 21 December 2018. He admitted 123 thefts from a voluntary organisation, family, friends and Bank of Ireland, involving more than €1.1 million taken between 2008 and 2016. Walsh received a four-year sentence, with the final two and a half years suspended on conditions. The court heard he had been director and treasurer of Carline Learning Centre in Clondalkin, and had misappropriated charity funds. Judge Pauline Codd cited the scale, duration and breach of trust among the aggravating factors.
