A jury found Graham McEvoy guilty of murdering Paul Curran at the Central Criminal Court. The proceedings were reported on 18 December 2017. Curran was killed at Seagull House on Crumlin Road in Dublin on 16 July 2016.

McEvoy pleaded guilty to manslaughter, but the plea was rejected. Following a week-long trial, the jury returned an 11-to-one majority verdict after more than eight hours of deliberations.

Prosecuting counsel Pieter LeVert asked for time for Curran’s family to prepare a statement. Justice Patrick McCarthy adjourned sentencing until the following day. The report said McEvoy would receive a mandatory life sentence for murder.
