This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

The jury in Graham Dwyer's trial for the murder of Elaine O'Hara was sent home for the night without an agreed verdict. The report was updated on 27 March 2015.

Dwyer denied murdering Elaine O'Hara. The murder allegation concerned 22 August 2012, and the report described Ms O'Hara as 36.

The jury foreman said jurors had not yet reached a verdict on which they were all agreed. They had deliberated for four hours and 55 minutes and were due to resume at 11.30am.

Earlier, Mr Justice Tony Hunt asked jurors to continue working towards a verdict and to return to him if they had a verdict or a query.

Jurors requested all the knives exhibited in the case, a runner and tracksuit bottoms found with Ms O'Hara's remains, and a spade found nearby. They also requested a rucksack, hoodie, white vest and bondage mask found in the Vartry Reservoir.

They also asked for a letter related to smoking found in Dwyer's home. They were told they could not have it because it had not been shown to any witness in the case.

This report covers an earlier stage of the case. Later developments are not reported here.
