Graham Dwyer’s murder trial jury restarted deliberations at the Central Criminal Court on 25 March 2015. Dwyer was charged with murdering Elaine O’Hara at Killakee, Rathfarnham, Dublin, on 22 August 2012.
Mr Justice Tony Hunt told jurors that the only available verdicts were guilty or not guilty of murder. He said they had to consider whether suicide was a reasonably possible hypothesis and acquit if it was consistent with the evidence.
The jury had earlier asked what offence they could find Dwyer guilty of. The judge said they were not being asked to consider an intermediate verdict or accidental death.
The report records that the jury resumed deliberations at 2.40pm.
